The 25 Best MLB Players Who Never Made an All Star Game

21. John Valentin

John Valentin was another solid player throughout his MLB career, that was never regarded as anything more than a reliable starter. Valentin could have been named an All-Star though, as he had some really nice seasons for the Boston Red Sox.

In 1995, Valentin had the best season of his career. He actually finished in the top-10 of the MVP voting that year, after hitting .298 with 27 home runs, 20 stolen bases and 102 RBI. Valentin also led the American League in doubles in 1997 with 47.
