1. Kirk Gibson
Kirk Gibson won an MVP, an ALCS MVP, two World Series and hit one of the most iconic home runs in MLB history. Yet he never went to a single All-Star Game.
Gibson’s MVP season came in 1988, as he hit .290 with 25 home runs, 76 RBI and stole 31 bases. Then in the World Series that year, Gibson hit a walk-off home run to win the Dodgers Game 1. What made the home run so remarkable is that Gibson was so hobbled by injuries that he could barely trot around the bases after hitting it.
