Fritz Ostermueller was a starting pitcher that had a long career playing primarily for the Boston Red Sox and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Ostermueller had nine seasons in which his ERA was sub-4.00 and was one of the most durable pitchers in the MLB.
Ostermueller also had three seasons in which his ERA was below 3.00, all of which he could have been named an All-Star.
