Eric Byrnes was most remembered for being a great hustle player, that never finished a game with a clean jersey. Byrnes was electric in his play both in the field and at the dish. There was a two-year stretch when Byrnes was playing for the Arizona Diamondbacks that he was one of the best players in baseball.

In 2006 and 2007, Byrnes combined to hit 47 home runs, 67 doubles, 162 RBI and scored 185 runs. Byrnes also stole 75 bases, with 50 coming in the 2007 campaign. Byrnes may not have been an All-Star his entire career, but he definitely should’ve been one during those years.
