The Natural starring Robert Redford is about a baseball prodigy named Roy Hobbs, who’s career gets cut short before it even starts when he is shot at the age of 19 years old. Sixteen years later, his natural gifts as a ballplayer carry him to heights of Major League Baseball.

The scene where Hobbs hits a walk-off home run into the overhead lights to deliver a pennant to his team, is one of the best scenes ever made in a sports movie.
