The 50 Best Sports Movies Ever

36. The Blind Side (2009)

Offensive lineman do not get nearly enough love, whether on the field or in the movies but that all changed in 2009 when the story of Michael Oher was told. Oher was one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL when he first entered the league, but this movie delves into his past as a kid living off the streets.

Oher was taken in by a family who got him into playing football and eventually got him into college. Sandra Bullock won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, among many other awards for her portrayal of Oher’s adopted mom Leigh Anne Tuohy.
