10. Tony Romo
This is certainly the least likely candidate on the list.
Romo did play for the Cowboys from 2003-2016. He took over as the starting quarterback during the 2006 season. Romo led the team to four playoff appearances during his career.
Romo also earned four Pro-Bowl selections but retired in the 2017 offseason. This would be mainly due to injuries piling up, and was a chance to inset Dak Prescott into the starting lineup.
As an analyst who practically calls every play, and spending over a decade of his career with the Cowboys franchise, there’s not much to stop Romo from coaching. The best part is that he would already be better than Garrett.
