10 Coaches That Could Potentially Replace Jason Garrett

2. Urban Meyer

Urban Meyer is one of the greatest college football coaches of all-time.

Meyer led the Florida Gators to two national champions in 2006 and 2008. He later became head coach at Ohio State in 2012, where Meyer guided them to a national championship in 2014.

Of course, he retired following the 2018 season citing health reasons. However, he may not be out of the coaching domain for long.

Colin Cowherd even asked Meyer if he would be open to coaching the Cowboys, to which his response was “Absolutely” and “Yes.”

Jones is no stranger to hiring coaches straight from college. After all, it’s what led the Cowboys to three Super Bowls in the ’90s. It would certainly be a huge upgrade from Garrett or any coach that the Cowboys have employed in the 21st century.
