A “win win” for the Lakers.

If they can package DeAndre for a trade for Anthony Davis, happy days. If the Pelicans decide to trade with the Knicks, then the Lakers still get one of the best players in this year’s draft after having nearly no chance at this #4 spot. Maybe the Lakers can pull off a trade for Davis AND keep Hunter and LA will rejoice.

DeAndre Hunter’s ceiling is best compared to Kawhi Leonard. Hunter is a forward that plays with power, intelligence, and intensity. Both men are great decision makers and skilled defenders; genuine dual threats. Their athletic ability and strength make them nearly impossible to stop.

Nevertheless, much like Kawhi earlier in his career, DeAndre Hunter will need to improve his shooting to reach his full potential.
