College Softball Team Pulls Hidden Ball Trick To Advance To D3 World Series

The ladies of the Trine University softball team advanced to the Division III College World Series on one of the oldest tricks there is in the game.

Leading Geneso by two with two outs in the final inning with runners on second and first, the Trine catcher quickly threw the ball back to the pitcher after a pitch, who looked as if she was trying pick off the runner at second.

The defense reacted as if the ball had sailed to the outfield, and the runners assumed that, but the pitcher had the ball the whole time. She easily went and tagged out the runner on second.

What a play.
