Top 15 Playmakers in the 2019 NBA Draft & their Comparisons

#1 New Orleans Pelicans – Zion Williamson
Playmaker Comparison: LeBron James

Spoiler Alert!!!

Zion WILL be the number 1 pick.

As the consensus for the #1 pick, Zion reminds us too much of LeBron James. Everything from his juggernaut body type, unselfish play, impressive work ethic, and incredible hype takes us back to LeBron James in 2003.
Much like LeBron, Zion (6’ 7” 284 lbs) is unstoppable on the drive. By now many of you have already seen the highlights of Zion steamrolling defenders in the lane like a locomotive and effortlessly bullying 3-4 men in the paint for vicious dunks.

And that’s only the start to his game; his handling is comparable to a guard, his defense is the best we’ve seen from a #1 pick in years, his passing is flawless, and his vertical is ridiculous, recently setting a Duke record at 45 inches high. Also, let’s not forget that he proved to be among the most clutch basketball players in his draft class after giving his team crucial go-ahead buckets in the tournament against Virginia Tech and UCF as well as the ACC semifinals against UNC.

The freak of nature that is Zion Williamson has dominated college basketball unlike we’ve ever seen before, and we expect him to grow into a Playmaker that will dominate the NBA in years to come.
