The Knicks need to get out of the trenches. The franchise has been an embarrassment over the last 2 decades. Even during their glory days with Melo, they found a way to slip into a first round playoff exit, at their best. New York is a proud basketball city, and the fans deserve better than what they’ve been dealt with.

This trade would pull the Knicks out of the muck and give their name power again. Anthony Davis is only 25, a couple of winning seasons and key acquisitions along the way may convince Davis to commit to the Knicks after his contract expires in a few years. The Knicks fans can rejoice as they finally get the center piece they’ve desperately needed and deserved.

The Pelicans would receive a rising star in Tim Hardaway and an expiring contract with Enes Kanter along with two 1st round draft picks. Who knows, maybe Kanter excels in New Orleans and the organization recovers quicker than anticipated.
