In 2010, Stephen A. Smith reported that AI’s life was falling apart due to his gambling and drinking habits.

Stephen A. Smith wrote in an article: “If numerous NBA sources are telling the truth—and there’s no reason to believe they’d do otherwise in a situation of this magnitude—Iverson will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away.”

AI was eventually banned from some casinos according to Stephen A., but which casinos and the reason he was banned remain unknown.

Apparently, Iverson hasn’t kicked the habit. He was even seen gambling before skipping out on a BIG3 basketball game in 2017.
