Since blocks and steals were not recorded until the 1973-74 season, we do not have defensive statistics for the first six years of Walt Frazier’s career. If we did have those numbers, Frazier’s career averages would have likely been much higher, but he still averaged 1.9 steals per game from his age-28 season on. Frazier was a seven-time NBA All-Defensive player and is the greatest defensive point guard in NBA history.
