Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominant forces in the history of the NBA. A big part of Shaq’s dominance was his work on defense. Shaq was a great rim-protector, especially at the start of his career as he averaged 3.5 blocks per game as a rookie. Throughout his career, O’Neil averaged 2.3 blocks and collected 7.4 defensive rebounds per game.
