For that reason, I won’t go into the specifics on each team in this category, like I did before. I’ll just hit up the most interesting situation in this category: The Houston Texans.
What’s going on in Houston is unprecedented. Deshaun Watson, a 25 year-old superstar of a QB, not even in his prime, has requested a trade, according to multiple sources, and rightfully so. The Texans have completed screwed him over during his years as a Texan.
Having said that, the Texans don’t owe him anything. They have to do what’s best for their organization. They are in no rush to trade Watson. In fact, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Texans have told teams that Watson is not available.
This situation could get ugly. It could spill into the the pre-season and even the regular season. Watson may have to be willing to sit out games and get fined in order for to get his wish of being traded.
