NFL Offseason Chaos

Before we can get into the fun part of speculating which teams will be in play for a “new mans,” we first have to look at the teams that won’t have any change under center.

Starting with the two teams that just played in the Super Bowl: The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

There is no way in hell that Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes aren’t under center for their respected franchises next season. Well, that’s not entirely true since they could, very well, get injured, but you get the point.

Also teams like the Colts and the Rams recently just made moves to get their guy, so, even though they’ll have a new guy under center next season, they are no longer in the quarterback market.

Before we move on to the next category, I can sense your shock in seeing the Browns and Baker Mayfield, and the Titans and Ryan Tannehill in this category.

Well, Baker bought himself some time in Cleveland based on his performance last season, specifically his play in the second half of the season. Mayfield made improvements at QB without his top target, Odell Beckham Jr, and lead the Browns to a playoff berth and a playoff victory. That’s got to be worth something.

As for Tannehill, he has actually been really good. By most statistics, Tannehill has been a top 10 quarterback since becoming the starter of the Titans. Plus, a year ago he signed a four year, $118 million deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The Titans are stuck with him, for better or worse.
