NFL Awards 2020: MVP, Offensive and Defensive POY, Rookies, Coach, and Comeback Player

Offensive Rookie Of The Year

Justin Herbert- QB, Los Angeles Chargers

Joseph Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Herbert has been more exciting and puts up better numbers than his counterpart Joe Burrow. Playing two fewer games, Justin has thrown for almost as many yards (2,333) and has 7 more (22 total and 3 rushing) TDs. He is balling out, throwing for less than 260 yards in only one game, and failed to score multiple TDs in only one.

The physical specimen out of Oregon has been quite impressive so far. He looks the part and passes the eye test. His cannon for an arm and deceptive scrambling skills have been fun to watch. The Chargers have lost some close games, which may knock Herbert down a peg. But taking over the way he has leaves much optimism for the future of the franchise.
