NFL Awards 2020: MVP, Offensive and Defensive POY, Rookies, Coach, and Comeback Player

What else can I state about this player that someone hasn’t already? He will go down as one of the most dominant forces defensively in this era, maybe ever. His nine sacks and three forced fumbles don’t quite encapsulate the disruption he creates. He literally could win this award every year as he has in 2017 and 2018. Pretty soon, they may go ahead and name it the “Aaron Donald Award.”.

In The Running:

T.J. Watt- OLB/Edge, Pittsburgh Steelers

Watt has a motor that goes non-stop and is the catalyst for one of the league’s most fierce defenses. Much like Donald, the outside linebacker jumps off the television screen every game. He is always making an impact, even if he isn’t logging sacks. He and Donald are tied with nine so far, and he is consistently putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks. TJ may be the only player this year that could surpass Donald.

Myles Garrett- Edge, Cleveland Browns

Garrett has made a huge impact this year on a Browns team that is somehow a quiet 6-3. After receiving a 5-year, $125 million contract in the past offseason, Garrett has done his part to earn it. He is currently leading the NFL with 9.5 sacks, a half sack more than Watt and Donald. What hurts him is Cleveland allows 27 points per game as a unit.
