5. Tristian Thompson – Cleveland Cavaliers (Unrestricted)

It doesn’t make any sense for Cleveland to keep Thompson, but it’s Cleveland so who really knows.

In all seriousness, Thompson is one of the most important free agents this year. He will be an important player to wherever he ends up.

If this season taught us anything it’s that size still matters in the NBA. The Lakers just bullied their way to the title with one of the biggest teams in the league.

Thompson is one of the few guys that can actually guard the likes of Anthony Davis, Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid and all the other notable bigs in the game today. He’s a menace of the offensive glass. He’d be a great fit for a team like Boston who needs help around the rim. The Lakers might be in contention for 29 year old based solely on his relationship with LeBron and Klutch Sports.
