Top 20 Playoff Performances of 2018

15. David Price

Prior to the 2018 playoffs, the knock on David Price was that he could not get it done in the postseason. Price was not helping that narrative in his first postseason start in the ALDS, as he gave up three quick runs to the Yankees and did not make it out of the second inning.

Price finally started to figure things out in the ALCS. Price started Game 5 on three days rest, pitched six shutout innings, struck out nine batters and earned the win.

Then in the World Series Price was even better, doing everything that the Red Sox asked to get the job done. Price pitched in three of the five World Series games, making two starts and winning two games.

In the final game of the World Series, Price pitched on just one day’s rest and threw seven shutout innings as the Red Sox won the title.
