2. Nick Foles

No one gave the Philadelphia Eagles a chance to win the Super Bowl heading into the playoffs last season because their starting quarterback was hurt and no one believed in Nick Foles.

Then Foles stepped up in the NFC Championship, throwing for 352 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions as the Eagles cruised to a 38-7 victory of the Minnesota Vikings.

In the Super Bowl, Foles continued his elite play. He completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards and three passing touchdowns. Foles also added a receiving touchdown in the now iconic play called the “Philly Special”.

Foles delivered the first Super Bowl victory to the city of Philadelphia and was named the Super Bowl MVP.
