While the Rookie of the Year for the regular season was considered a two-man race that did not include Jayson Tatum, by the end of the postseason Tatum proved that he may have been the best rookie all along.

Tatum eclipsed 20 points in 10 of the Celtics 19 playoff games and led them to Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Tatum was at his best during the Celtics dismantling of the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round.

For that five-game series, Tatum averaged nearly 24 points per game.
