Jay Cutler tried to retire last year, until the Miami Dolphins offered him $10 million to replace the injured Ryan Tannehill for the 2017 season. Cutler played a lackluster final season in the NFL for the Dolphins and has now retired.

Still, Cutler’s career as a whole was much better than his final season. Playing primarily for the Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears, Cutler had seven seasons in which he eclipsed 3,000 passing yards and 20 touchdowns.

In his lone Pro Bowl season in 2008, Cutler threw for 4,526 yards and was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
