Former Chicago Bull Craig Hodges was an integral part of two of the titles of the Bulls’ first 3-peat. The sharpshooter protested the anthem in response to the video of Rodney King being brutally beaten by police. He then provided a letter to President George H.W. Bush during the Bulls’ visit to the White House. It detailed the atrocities against Blacks in America. Hodges is still very outspoken today and feels his activism is what cut his career short.
