4. Youngstown Patricians
This team included players from around Ohio, and played in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Plans were made to take them to the NFL, however, many of the players left to fight in WW1. They never joined due to funding and were forced to close down.
5. Los Angeles Bulldogs
The Bulldogs played independently across many leagues. They even had a perfect season in the AFL. The team played some games against NFL teams and recruited some NFL players. Instead, the Cleveland Rams were given a team. The Rams moved to L.A. in 1946. In 1948, the presence of 3 pro football teams in L.A. caused Bulldogs attendance to drop and they then ceased operations.
