Jason Kidd Addresses Lakers Coaching Rumors

NBA Hall of Famer and former Bucks coach Jason Kidd appeared on ESPN’s The Jump Monday, and addressed rumors about him becoming the next coach of the Lakers after the season.

Addressing that rumor, Kidd also talks about the vacancy at his alma mater, Cal.

“I think when you look at the Lakers as a whole, it’s a franchise that is one of the best in the world — not just in the NBA, but in the world,” Kidd said. “So, if you ever have the opportunity to wear the purple and gold, you can’t turn that down, as a coach or as a player because they’re all about championships.”

It’s pretty clear at this point that Luke Walton will not return to the Lakers next season, and Kidd is one of the few former players turned coaches that is respected by LeBron James. Sounds like it could be a perfect match.
