‘Rick and Morty’ Co-Creator to Release Video Game, ‘Trover Saves the Universe’

Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland has transferred the vulgarness of his hit show into a new VR video game titled, Trover Saves the Universe.

Posted to Playstation Europe’s YouTube channel earlier today, the upcoming game, which also takes on the same animation style of the Adult Swim series, sees Roiland himself voicing certain characters. Set at a third-person action-adventure, players (as Trover) are tasked with saving the universe after an evil monster named Glorkon eventually kidnaps his dogs and stuffs them into his eye, ultimately allowing him to gain incredible powers. According to an IGN gameplay review, Trover Saves the Universe features over 20 hours of dialogue from Roiland.

Interested fans can purchase Trover Saves the Universe on May 31 when it hits PS4 and PSVR. The game will then release on June 4 for PC. Pre-ordering the game on troversavestheuniverse.com will knock 10% off the price.
