Five 2020 NFL Rookies That Have Outperformed Their Draft Position

Antonio Gibson: RB, Washington Football Team

Pick 66, PFF Grade: 78.1

The third round former Memphis wide receiver converted running back didn’t receive much pre-draft hype. He was the seventh rookie running back taken this past draft. He is the highest-rated rookie running back by PFF. Gibson has proven to be a great value and potential centerpiece for the Washington franchise.

Looking at his stats, he is third in the NFL with 11 rushing touchdowns. He is tied for eleventh with 645 yards on the ground. Antonio sits currently third among rookies in total yardage. He has been able to do this while sharing touches with Peyton Barber and J.D. McKissic. By all metrics, he has certainly exceeded his draft position in the early third round. If the 4-7 Football Team wants to make a playoff push, they may want to feed Gibson more. He is averaging 15.5 touches per game.
