30 Jumbotron Appearances in 30 Days: A Playmaker Exclusive

He then explains how beginning the 30 for 30 for 30 journey on Christmas day has been the biggest sacrifice he has made thus far.

“I didn’t get to spend Christmas with my family, so I had to make that sacrifice. But they’ve been very supportive and even visited me in Orlando for the Magic game.”

Accompanying David on this adventure is a Colin Kerrigan; a videographer, filmmaker, and a good friend.

The two have been traveling the country together on a low budget, but they’re making it work. Living in Philly, the two started their travels from their home city and then to Brooklyn, Boston, Washington DC, etc. David and Colin have traveled by plane, bus, train, and rental cars. They choose their transportation as they go, whichever option is the most cost-effective at the time being. Fortunately, the two have managed to stay at friend’s houses along the way to cut additional costs.

After nearly 2 weeks, David and Colin have started to develop a fanbase and get noticed by the NBA.

NBA teams have started to catch on to this journey and some teams have even reached out to David personally including the Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Sacramento Kings.

“The Pacers drum team reached out to us about getting tickets to a game for us and play the cowbell. We’re up for anything we can do with NBA teams to make this experience even more special.”

I later asked David what happens if he can’t keep this legendary streak alive and fails to appear on the jumbotron before completing the 30 for 30 for 30 journey.
