30 Jumbotron Appearances in 30 Days: A Playmaker Exclusive

“The people I have met have changed my life. I went to the Knicks game a few nights ago dressed as the statue of liberty wearing a Sprewell jersey, my favorite player growing up. My dad and I are Knicks fans, I grew up watching Latrell Sprewell and Allen Houston.

I got to go on the court, which was a dream, especially as Knicks fan being in MSG. But when I went to leave, all these tourists wanted to take pictures with me. 15-20 people were lined up that were visiting from various parts of the world. I felt like I was a part of their New York experience. To me, that’s the coolest thing.

Also, the Knicks president told me he loved what I am up to and wished me luck. That was awesome, to say the least.”

He also added: “I have not met any players, hopefully, that comes in the future.”

For David, this adventure initially was about simply being a basketball fan that wanted to have fun and essentially, see the NBA world. But it has turned into much more than a vacation…

David became a BIG basketball fan after he graduated from college. Previously, his sport of choice was soccer. Growing up, he dedicated his whole life to perfecting his game, eventually earning an athletic scholarship to play soccer in college. But “retiring” from soccer was a struggle for David. Fortunately, he found new inspiration and enjoyment in basketball.
