16. Earl Thomas vs. the Seattle Seahawks
Earl Thomas held out from playing in any preseason activities with the Seattle Seahawks as he tried to either get a new contract or get traded.
Thomas did not want to play without a new deal because he did not want to get injured without money in the bank. He ended up deciding to play and was having a great season, with three interceptions, 22 tackles and five pass deflections in just four games.
Then what Thomas feared came true and he fractured his lower-leg, leading to this reaction as he was carted off the field.

Flipping off your own bench is not a great look, but when you consider everything Thomas went through up to that point, it is hard to blame him. If anyone wants to complain about a football player holding out for a new deal, they should look at Thomas’ situation and realize that these players need to get their money any way they can.
