11. Le’Veon Bell vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers
Le’Veon Bell was not going to play another season under a franchise tag. He asked for a new contract or a trade, refusing to suit up in a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform unless they gave him a long-term deal.
Bell ended up sitting out the whole season, to not risk injury. Initially the Steelers did just fine without him, as James Conner filled in admirably at the start of the season.
At the end of the day though, Bell’s value was proved after all as the Steelers missed the playoffs for the first time since 2013.

Next year when Bell returns to the field it likely won’t be with the Steelers.
