Young Stars Finally Fulfilling Their Potential

Devin Booker has been a scoring machine for the Suns franchise, night in and night out, for the last five years. However, Booker’s biggest question mark was his ability to win. He could have left at the end of the 2018 season, but Booker wasn’t interested in joining a superteam. He wanted to build a winner in Phoenix. The Suns very quietly put together a playoff team, with a couple of their players stepping up to fill important roles. Players like Aron Baynes and Ricky Rubio, two veteran players who can take the pressure off of Booker when needed. Kelly Oubre has finally lived up to his potential, as this season looks to be the best of his young career so far. Tyler and Cameron Johnson are both shooting above 40% from three. Booker has already realized his scoring potential, but this is the first year where he has had a chance to show his ability to win games. He has the suns sitting at 6-3, and first in the league in FG% and assists. Don’t be surprised if Phoenix is in the mix in April, because Devin Booker is ready to show that he’s a winner.
