With J.J. Watt, Are the Cardinals Contenders?

NFL free agency started with a bang. Former All-Pro, and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt announced he is signing with the Arizona Cardinals. A decision that shocked some and sparked much debate. It leaves many to wonder, are the Cardinals legit Super Bowl contenders?

Many analysts and fans assumed the NFL ten-year vet would go “ring chasing” this offseason. After his release from Houston, the rumors went swirling. Could Watt possibly join the Packers? Maybe team up with his brothers in Pittsburgh? Or go to one of the teams that just played in the Super Bowl? Well, it seems J.J. Watt had different plans.
