Regarded as one of the best outfielders and hitters coming out of college, the A’s felt Kyle Murray was worth the risk of loosing their top pick to football. The NFL has never felt this way about Murray, until now. After dominating in college football, NFL franchises like the Cardinals and Giants are willing to take a gamble on Kyle Murray because they have seen his tremendous upside. If Murray proves to be an NFL bust, there is nothing stopping him from obtaining another MLB contract.
