The Sixers have been quite the disappointment with Joel Embidd and Ben Simmons. They have failed to make the conference finals with Embidd and Simmons as their cornerstones.

The two just haven’t gelled well together. The fact that Simmons won’t shoot beyond 10 feet really hurts Embiid. This allows defenses’ to play off of Simmons pretty much whenever he’s around the three point line or without the ball. As a result, defenders can easily play help defense on Embiid in the post, or just clog up the paint for everyone else, forcing Philadelphia into long-range jumpers.

The two might be better off apart, which is what Daryl Morey, the new head of basketball operations for Philly, will have to decide. As General Manager of the Houston Rockets, Morey made the most trades in the NBA. Now with Philly, Morey is bound to make some major moves. Will he trade Simmons or Embiid? This is the question everyone is asking.

The player with higher value is Ben Simmons. Simmons is one of the best defenders in the league. The dude is one of the few players that can guard one through five.

His passing, for a guy his size, is reminiscent of a young Magic Johnson. The only thing he’s missing is a jumper. Once he gets that, Simmons will be in the mix for MVP.

Embiid, on the other hand, never seems to be fully healthy, and when he is healthy, he never looks to be in great shape.

With Simmons holding more value, Morey would be more inclined to move him. That has had many around the league speculating that Morey might be after James Harden, and for good reason. They were very successful in Houston together, and both seem to like and respect the other.

However, Harden’s 31 years old. It’s hard to imagine that the Beard will keep putting up these crazy statistical seasons.

So for Philly, why not go after Booker? He’s younger than Harden and has a very similar play style to the left-handed step back king. The two are both unstoppable on the offensive end. Harden is more advanced with the ball in his hands, but there’s no doubt that Booker can reach Harden’s level with time.

Booker is not quite the playmaker that Harden is, but he’s improved in that facet of his game, averaging close to 7 assists per game this past season. Plus, Booker’s a better defender than Harden. That’s not saying much, but it’s something.

Why not a trade between the Suns and Sixers that is featured around Ben Simmons for Devin Booker?
