Top Trade Destinations For Devin Booker

Could D-Book be the next Star on the move? One NBA Insider thinks so

In his five years in the NBA, Devin Booker has shown superstar potential. The 24 year old shooting guard made his first all-star game this past season and led the Phoenix Suns to an undefeated record (8-0) in the bubble.

Even though Booker has emerged as one of the NBA’s brightest young stars, Phoenix hasn’t done much winning with him. The Suns have failed to make the playoffs since drafting Booker in 2015. In Fact, Phoenix hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2009-2010 season when Steve Nash, the former MVP point guard and current Brooklyn Nets Head Coach was leading the squad.

If it weren’t for the New York Knicks, the Suns would be the laughingstocks of the league. Not only have they not made the playoffs in over a decade, but they have one of the worst owners in the NBA, in Robert Sarver.

Look up on Google: “Worst Owners in the NBA,” and on any list Robert Sarver will be ranked in the top five.

Additionally, since Booker has been drafted, the Suns have had five different head coaches: Jeff Hornacek, Earl Watson, Jay Triano, Ignor Kokoskov, and Monty Williams (current head coach). That’s five different coaches in five years!

Oh, and back in 2018, Phoenix drafted Deandre Ayton over Luka Doncic? It’s been a rough go-around for Suns fans.

All of this has led Booker to reportedly want out of Phoenix.

“The worst kept secret in the league is Booker already wants out of there.”

-Ryen Russillo, an NBA Insider for The Ringer, on the Bill Simmons Podcast

If what Russillo said is true, then where could Booker end up if he demands a trade? Let’s look at five possible destinations for the up-and-coming star.
