8. Nathan Evoldi Traded to the Boston Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox traded for Nathan Eovaldi at the trade deadline to bolster the back-end of their rotation. Eovaldi was decent in that role during the season but really excelled when it came to the postseason.
Eovaldi pitched to a 1.61 ERA across 22 1/3 innings pitched in October. Eovaldi won a start in both the ALDS and the ALCS before coming exclusively out of the bullpen in the World Series. Eovaldi made three relief appearances and allowed just a single run in eight innings pitched helping the Red Sox win the World Series.
