Tom Brady free agency odds: Smart money has Brady signing with Chargers or Colts

Las Vegas Raiders (+600)

In his acclaimed “Football Morning in America” column, King predicts the Raiders could be dark horse contenders to sign Brady. “Jon Gruden’s favorite quarterback is always the one he doesn’t have,” King writes. “No clue if he’s remotely interested, but my antennae would be up for the Raiders and Brady.”

That is an intriguing possibility on the surface, especially since the Raiders are moving to Las Vegas next season. Though Derek Carr is signed to a monstrous $125 million contract, the Raiders can shed him without much salary cap pain. His dead money hit in 2020 is just $5 million, and it decreases to $2.5 million in 2021 before disappearing in 2022.

But if Brady is going to move West, the Chargers are a better fit than the perennially moribund Raiders. It is unlikely TB12 winds up in Black and Silver.
Verdict: Don’t bet
