Lamar Jackson and the Ravens did it. They won a playoff game!

Jackson is the main story coming out of this game, for obvious reasons: The reigning MVP finally got the monkey off his back and won a postseason game.

After throwing a costly interception early on, Lamar played pretty solid football. He threw for 179 yards, ran 136 yards, including an incredible 48 yard touchdown run.

Jackson became the second quarterback ever to pass for over 100 yards and rush for over 100 yards in the same game in the playoffs. The other? Colin Kaepernick

Jackson was solid in this game. He stepped up when his team needed him most, but he wasn’t the main reason the Ravens came out on top. Baltimore won their first playoff game since 2014 because of their defense.

Baltimore’s defense completely shut down Titans running back Derick Henry. King Henry rushed for 40 yards on 18 carries. That’s an average of 2.2 yards per attempt. Yikes.

Baltimore really put the clamps down on Tennessee after that rough first quarter. The Ravens held the Titans to three points for the final three quarters after letting up 10 points in the first.

Bailtmore now heads to Buffalo where that defense of theirs will need to step up again. According to Pro Football Focus, the Bills are the top rated offense in the NFL.

Buffalo is the favorite in this one, and should be. They may be the most complete team in the league, and despite the Ravens victory, Baltimore did only put up only 20 points against one of the worst defenses in the league.

Lamar’s going to have to be extra special against the Bills for the Ravens to have any shot at moving on to the AFC Championship game.
