Previewing the NFL Playoffs

Wild Card Weekend is here and bigger than ever. Literally!

Back in the dig days of summer, it seemed impossible that the NFL season would happen, let along make it all the way to the postseason. Yet, here we are.

Now, there have been plenty of COVID-19 related issues during the NFL season. The Baltimore Ravens, the Tennessee Titans, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots were teams that were hit hardest by the coronavirus. Oh, and who could forget the Denver Broncos. Back in Week 12 of the season all four quarterbacks on the Broncos roster contradicted Covid. As a result, Denver elevated practice squad wide receiver Kendal Hinton as the teams starting quarterback.

That’s all to say that this NFL season has been like no other before. What seemed impossible before the season, has become a reality. Plus, an added bonus beginning this year is an extra playoff team. That’s right, seven teams make the playoffs in each conference instead of six, so buckle up football fans, we’re in for a wild ride. Get it? Wild ride, Wild Card weekend. Terrible, I know, but hey, it’s a new year which means playoff football is about to kickoff. Let’s take a look at each matchup this weekend and separate the contenders from the pretenders.
