Shaq Drops Damian Lillard Diss Track & Dame Responds With Bars

Recently, Damian Lillard was a guest on the Joe Budden podcast and dived deep into some hip-hop discussion. After touching on his recent projects, Dame was told that “as far as the best (athlete rappers), it might be you and Shaq.” Then, Dame was asked if he thinks he produces better music than Shaq.

Dame Dolla responded: “I think I rap better than Shaq, I’ve heard Shaq’s stuff. I think he was viewed as Shaq. People was like, this [is] Shaq. It wasn’t like, Shaq and Biggie. People weren’t looking like this [is] a real rapper. It was like, ‘That’s Shaq rapping.’ So, of course, it was a big deal.”

Shaq, of course believed that he can give Dame Dolla a run for his money. So, he dropped a Damian Lillard diss track last night in response to Dame’s comments to put some respect on his rap reputation.

Listen to the track here:

While Dame has produced multiple albums and collaborated with legendary artists such as Lil Wayne, Shaq isn’t a novice.

Shaq released his album Shaq Diesel that went platinum in 1992 and produced multiple singles that were certified gold by the RIAA.

It’s been a hot minute since Shaq has dropped some bars, but this Dame diss track reminded those who forgot and educated those who never knew that Shaq deserves to be placed in the top tier of athlete rappers.

But, is he the best today?
