NBA Playoff Preview: The Utah Jazz

Now, I’m not trying to take anything away from what the Jazz have done this season.

They have been the best team in the league. Nobody can debate against that. Honestly, I kind of hope the Jazz prove everyone, including myself, wrong.

Well, scratch that. I think I speak for everyone in saying that the dream Finals matchup would be the the Lakers v. Nets. Nobody really wants to see Utah in the Finals.

Sorry Jazz fans, but nobody wants to see your team succeed.

Jazz fans have all the right to pound the table and demand their team get more respect. The thing is though, the NBA is quite an easy league to predict. If LeBron and AD are healthy, the Lakers are getting to the Finals. They just are. Then in the East, the Nets are just too good. Brooklyn has been sensational this season, despite their three stars barely playing with each other. The Sixers, the Bucks and the Heat have a shot in the East if one of the Nets big three is injured, but the last two teams standing will, most likely, be the Lakers and Nets.

So, sorry Utah. You’ve had a great regular season, but there are legitimate reasons why experts and insiders doubt your title chances. Hopefully, you use all this doubt and Jazz hatred as extra motivation to prove everyone wrong! Well, hopefully not actually because we all want to see Stephen A. Smith’s wet dream of a Lakers v. Nets Finals matchup come true.
