Los Angeles Lakers: Kuzma Expected to Return on 3 Game Road Trip

Although it will not be tonight, Kyle Kuzma is expected to return in the Los Angeles Lakers‘ next three road games, per source.

Tonight, the Lakers will be playing against the Memphis Grizzlies, which after, will be the start of their three game road trip. Unfortunately, they will be without Kuzma due to an injury that he has been recovering from since the preseason.

In previous years, the Lakers have suffered many injuries, causing them to miss the playoffs ever year since the 2012-2013 season when Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, and Dwight Howard teamed up to form what all fans were calling a “super-team.”

The Lakers have two of the NBA’s top five players in LeBron James, and Anthony Davis, but Kyle Kuzma is the missing piece of the puzzle.

Kuzma was a late draft pick by the Brooklyn Nets, then traded on draft night to the Lakers, where he has become a star sensation. In his career, he is averaging 17 PPG, 6 RPG, and 2 APG on 45% field goal percentage, per source.

The Lakers have a 2-1 record for the season, only losing to the Los Angeles Clippers by ten points. If Kuzma had been playing during that game, they could be undefeated. However, Kawhi Leonard is not meant to be underestimated. The truth is, the Lakers will look like a different team with Kuzma on the floor.

The next three Lakers game where Kuzma possibly makes his season debut will first come against the Dallas Mavericks, and secondly, the San Antonio Spurs, and if he has not made an appearance by then, could return against the Chicago Bulls.
