The Lakers have been using LeBron as one of their point guards, a position that he has not played since his rookie year. This could be a key reason that he is leading the league in assists per game, but it’s been working. James has helped lead the Lakers to a 27-7 record while maintaining first place in the Western Conference.

The Lakers’ next game will be on Friday night against the New Orleans Pelicans — the team that was dealt many Lakers’ players in an offseason trade to receive their dominant power forward, Anthony Davis.
