LeBron James Believes “Load Management” Should Start at a Young Age

“I think [AAU] has something to do with it, for sure, it was a few tournaments where my kids—Bronny and Bryce—had five games in one day and that’s just fucking out of control. That’s just too much.”

James believes that if load management is implemented earlier for student-athletes, there may not be a need to rest players as much once they join the NBA. The NBA is made up of elite athletes who are expected to play 82 games a year, but most of them don’t.

However, James is one of the athletes who believes that as long as he is not severely injured, he should be on the court. Prior to last season, when James missed games due to his injury, he had played 94% of games in 15 seasons.
