Interesting Statistics From The 2020 NFL Season

Derrick Henry Reaches 2,000 Yards Rushing

For only the eighth time in NFL history, a running back topped the 2,000 yard rushing mark. Before this season, Adrian Peterson was the last one to reach the feat back in 2012. Even more impressive is that Henry is the only the fifth rusher in thirty years to win the NFL rushing title in back to back seasons. He joins the likes of Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Edgerrin James, and LaDainian Tomlinson. All of which are all in the Hall of Fame. Another interesting nugget is that the Titans are the only team with two backs who cracked 2,000 rushing yards. Chris Johnson or “CJ2K” also accomplished the milestone in 2009.
