Dwayne Haskins had an outstanding football career at Ohio State and was ready to translate that to NFL after he was drafted 16th overall by the Washington Football Team. Unfortunately, Haskins did not live up to his hype in Washington having a starting record of 3 wins and 10 losses. He also had 12 TDs and 14 INTs in 16 games. This kind of play is way below NFL standard. He fell into big trouble after Washington’s week 14’s loss after he went out to a strip club after the game during strict COVID-19 protocols. His Head Coach Ron Rivera had been getting treatments during the season for Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and COVID-19 would put his life at risk. He was released after a week 16 loss. Head Coach Ron Rivera thought it would best for both to part ways.
Despite his very poor play in his first 2 NFL seasons, many NFL coaches still think he has future in the NFL and can be turned into a great QB. Obviously Haskins needs to be committed to the game of football and keep those off the field incidents in the pass. Here are 2 teams that will pursue Haskins in the offseason.
