Hong-Kong Protestors Burn LeBron’s Jersey

LeBron James last week said that his team and the NBA went through a “difficult” week because of the backlash they received by Chinese partners from Daryl Morey’s comments supporting the protestors.

This clearly didn’t sit well with the protestors. The Hong Kong protestors believe LeBron James’ comments reveal a double standard because he uses his platform to be outspoken about social issues, but only ones that have no risk or potential to hurt his pockets.

One protestor, 36-year old marketing director named Aaron Lee said,

“James was trying, you know, to take a side, on the China side, which is like ridiculous. He was being honest, financially. Financial is money. Simple as that. LeBron James stands for money. Period.”

Here are some more photos of protestors burning LeBron James’ jersey.
